The short version
- I only collect what you give me when you book or get in touch, and only use it to do your job and contact you about it.
- No tracking cookies, no advertising, no selling your details.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time.
1. Who I am
OddJob SW is a trading name of Charlie McCann, a sole trader based in Paignton, Devon. I'm the "controller" of your personal information under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018). Contact: hello@oddjobsw.co.uk or 07385 560134.
2. What I collect and why
- Bookings: your name, phone, email, address, postcode, the job details and the time you booked. I use these to do the job, get to you, and send your confirmation. Legal basis: to carry out our contract.
- Payments: card payments are handled by Stripe. I never see or store your full card number. I keep a record of what you paid. Legal basis: contract, and my legal duty to keep business records.
- Messages: if you use the contact form, call or email, I keep what you send so I can reply. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
3. Cookies
This site doesn't use tracking or advertising cookies. Stripe sets its own cookies on its payment page to prevent fraud.
4. Who I share it with
- Stripe, to take card payments.
- My website hosting and email providers, who store the site and my emails.
- Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
5. How long I keep it
Booking and payment records are kept for 6 years, because the law requires me to keep business records. Messages that didn't lead to a booking are deleted after 12 months.
6. Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, or ask me to correct or delete it, or to stop using it. Email me and I'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
